Corporate Social Responsibility

We want to be a responsible business that meets the highest standards of ethics and professionalism.

Our company’s social responsibility falls under two categories: compliance and proactiveness. Compliance refers to our company’s commitment to legality and willingness to observe community values. Proactiveness is every initiative to promote human rights, help communities, and protect our natural environment.

Compliance

Legality

Our company will:

    • Respect the law
    • Honor its internal policies
    • Ensure that all its business operations are legitimate
    • Keep every partnership and collaboration open and transparent

Business Ethics

We will always conduct business with integrity and respect to human rights. We’ll promote:

    • Safety and fair processes
    • Respect toward the consumer
    • Anti-bribery and anti-corruption practices

Protecting People

We’ll ensure that we:

    • Don’t risk the health and safety of our employees and community

    • Avoid harming the lives of local and indigenous people

    • Support diversity and inclusion

Human Rights

Our company is dedicated to protecting human rights. We are a committed equal opportunity employer and will abide by all fair labor practices. We’ll ensure that our activities do not directly or indirectly violate human rights in any country (forced labor for example).

Proactiveness

Donations and aid

Our company may preserve a budget to make monetary donations. These donations will aim to:

    • Advance the arts, education, and communities
    • Alleviate the requirements of those in need

Preserving the environment

In addition to our legal obligations, our company will proactively protect the environment. Examples of relevant activities include:

    • Recycling
    • Conserving energy
    • Using environmentally-friendly technologies

Learning

Our aim is to encourage ICT education programs amongst young people of previously disadvantaged equity groups to address unemployment.

Employees from previously disadvantaged equity groups that have family members currently studying towards an IT qualification on a tertiary level may apply for family sponsorship to assist with funding.

The company recognizes and promotes black-owned entrepreneurs as suppliers in the ICT sector. Qualifying beneficiaries will form part of IsoMetrix’s enterprise and supplier development contributions.

We’ll promote our identity as a socially aware and responsible business. Our management must communicate this policy on all levels, and managers are also responsible for resolving any CSR issues.

At IsoMetrix we take our commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) seriously; we're dedicated to fostering a culture of care and responsibility, both within our own organization and in the communities we serve.

From organizing blood donation drives that save lives, to annual wellness days that promote the health and well-being of our employees, and our ongoing efforts to support underprivileged communities by raising funds and resources, we always strive to be a positive influence on our environment.

Discover some of our recent CSR initiatives below.

Blood Drives

Put simply, donating blood saves lives. With emergency blood supplies often critically low, we host blood donation drives every 2 months to do our part in alleviating this situation as much as possible. IsoMetrix employees are eligible to donate if they are between 16-75 years old, weigh more than 50kg (110lb), are in good health, and lead a safe lifestyle.

Here are the organizations we support in our different regions:

Mental Health Awareness and Annual Wellness Days

We are committed to the well-being of our employees and have a deliberate company focus on mental health awareness. Our annual Wellness Day events where we have health screenings, visits, talks, and assessments by biokineticists, dieticians, and optometrists, have become a company highlight.

We are also thrilled to announce our partnership with Health Assured for the implementation of an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Initiated in South Africa, this program has subsequently been rolled out in the USA, Canada, the UK, and Australia, and aims to provide support and resources to enhance the well-being of our valued employees.

Funky Socks Day

All about ‘walking the walk for good’ in our community, IsoMetrix employees purchase Funky Socks Day stickers allowing them to wear their funkiest socks to work! The proceeds are then donated towards building new school infrastructure for Lusemanzi Early Childhood Development Centre, a nursery daycare based in Orange Farm, Johannesburg. A play-based, early childhood development organisation, this facility gives little ones in underprivileged South African communities the head start they deserve.

Thursday Thrills

Our Human Resources department’s latest initiative to inject some fun and energy into the working environment, Thursday Thrills happens one Thursday per month and can take almost any form. With previous event themes including International Coffee Day and Valentine’s Day, you never quite know what’s coming next when it comes to the latest Thursday Thrills activity!
