IsoMetrix North America now ready for their next big step

This month, we speak with our Canadian Director, Benoit Froment. We find out how our North American office is engaging with partners and why this is the key for our business development and for our customers’ success in this part of the world.

Tell us about those three first years in North America

In just three short years, IsoMetrix has grown from strength to strength in the Americas. We now have more than 10 major clients in North and South America using our latest V4 technology, and nearly 20 employees working from our two main North American offices (Atlanta and Toronto).

We have successfully revamped our project team to adopt an agile methodology, appointing team members with experience and background in HSE, Social and software. IsoMetrix recognizes that a next step in the continued path to growth is to identify strategic reseller, implementation, and technology partners that add value to our customers and bring additional expertise and opportunity in the  Americas.

How do we work with our partners?

We work mainly with two kinds of partners:

  • Technology partners: they provide industry leading content and help us mature our product offering. Our main technology partner is Qlik, which provides every IsoMetrix user with access to their analytics and dashboards. We also work with partners like Verisk3E (3E), which provides Safety Data Sheets for Chemical products or Specialty Technical Publishers (STP), which provides regulatory content.
  • Channel partners: They refer us and help to implement our product. It is a recognized business model in the software industry. We have been approached by several consulting companies lately, and we are already working with some of them like Ernst & Young (EY) to get a long-term success.

We are developing a comprehensive on-boarding program for our channel partners. We share knowledge of our solution templates and we make sure they fully understand the benefits for our customers and how we stand out from our competitors.

They also need to understand our technology framework and power, such as how flexible IsoMetrix is, how easily we can configure it and tailor it to a customer’s requirements.

 What are the key benefits for our partners?

IsoMetrix has a real win-win relationship with its partners. Our strategic alliance helps them:

  1. Expand their product portfolio: they bring their expertise, we bring our technology. It is a recipe for success.
  2. Expand their geographic reach: We are expanding quickly in the Americas, with half our business taking place in Latin America. For our partners, this means getting access to this market as well.
  3. Expand their subject matter expertise: We are specialized in some niche markets like Social Sustainability. Our partners learn and expand their own expertise.
  4. Expand their revenue streams: We introduce new revenue streams for our partners.

 

What is coming next?

Our vision for 2019 is to empower our partners and help them get the best out of IsoMetrix by hosting several workshops and training sessions. We had our first partner workshop last month in Mexico, with Foundamentality, a Mexican based consulting company specializing in Safety Cultural Transformation. We share the same vision with its Managing Director, Sergio Seanez.

Our next workshop is scheduled in Canada in January and will focus on Compliance and Risk Management.

We will also organize webinars to leverage our partners’ subject matter expertise for our customers. Some events and breakfasts are also in the pipeline. We are looking forward to an exciting 2019.
