Social Risk and Resettlement Training, Houston

From 23 to 24 March, Intersocial, in partnership with IsoMetrix, will host their world-class Social Risk and Resettlement Training course in Houston, Texas. This course aims to provide participants with the practical tools to plan for and implement social risk and resettlement strategies on projects based on international best practice.

The training will be facilitated by Eddie Smyth, director of Intersocial Consulting, an internationally acclaimed consulting firm focused on land access and resettlement, social impacts and risks, stakeholder engagement, livelihoods, community investment and corporate social responsibility.  Eddie has over 20 years’ experience in planning, implementing and reviewing social and resettlement projects to international standards.

Eddie is also co-author of Land Access and Resettlement – A Guide to Best Practice, a complete roadmap for practically planning and implementing successful land access and resettlement programs to create win–win outcomes for companies, communities, and governments.

Sessions will use an interactive approach offering practical and innovative methodologies and tools. The training course will include discussions on practical case studies from the participants and Intersocial’s experience in planning, implementing and reviewing social risk and resettlement management strategies.
