CGF and IsoMetrix bolstering the GRC landscape

22 February 2016, Johannesburg

IsoMetrix and CGF Research Institute (Pty) Ltd (‘CGF’) are pleased to announce the recent signing of a Cooperation Agreement between the two companies.

CGF offers an array of governance related products and professional consulting services that assist organisations to build and maintain a Corporate Governance Framework® which has become one of CGF’s hallmarks.

The partnership strengthens IsoMetrix’s positioning as a solution for integrated Governance Risk and Compliance. Just as the financial health of a business is readily available through reports that draw information from various accounting modules, the governance health of a business needs to be visible in a similar way. Incorporating the Corporate Governance Framework® into the IsoMetrix solution suite will provide boards of directors with a logical, integrated understanding of the governance status of all areas of the business at any point in time.

As IsoMetrix founder Paul Marketos explains, “Integrated GRC is a fast-maturing space, and CGF are proven thought leaders in regard to the practical application of such an integrated approach. Leveraging off the years of research and design CGF has put into their Corporate Governance Framework® will enable us to bring a proven methodology to the market.”

The CGF Corporate Governance Framework® combined with the IsoMetrix GRC software and its un-paralleled trending and analytical dashboard functionality, will enable an organisation to bring together the concept of ‘connectivity of information’ and to best tell an organisation’s value creation story with real time integrated reporting on the outcomes of the six integrated reporting capitals. This will:

  • positively impact organisational effectiveness by providing a clear, unambiguous process and a single point of reference to assess the organisation’s overall state of governance;
  • enable more effective decision-making across the organisation at board and management levels;
  • improve the information available to investors and other stakeholders; and
  • encourage more integrated thinking and business practices within the organisation.
  • IsoMetrix has aligned its sustainability reporting functionality with the Global Reporting Initiative (‘GRI’), the most widely used sustainability reporting framework in the world. It represents the global standard on sustainability reporting and is utilised by thousands of companies in over 90 countries. The aspects and indicators within the GRI are an important starting point to ensure that robust sustainability metrics are included in integrated reporting.

Says Terry Booysen, CEO of CGF: “We believe that the association between CGF and IsoMetrix will yield positive benefits for our clients as they strive to improve governance processes, risk management and decision-making within their organisations, and to report thereon in their annual integrated reports.”
