OHSAS 18001: 2007 MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS - AUDITOR / LEAD AUDITOR

Introduction:
This SAATCA registered course is designed to provide the delegate with a detailed exposition of OHSAS 18001 and procedures for identifying OH&S national legislation and the planning and identifying of hazards generated by an undertaking, the risk assessment and the implementation of systems to control these risks.

The course will give as much simulation to an actual audit as is practically possible in a classroom situation and includes extensive syndicate exercises and group work.

This course entitles delegates to sit the SAATCA exam. Successful completion of this course fulfils only part of the requirements for SAATCA certification as an OH&S Management System Auditor - OHSAS 18001:2007.

the techniques available, process and principle of risk assessment and their significance in the process of self-regulation
how to identify the requirements of OHSAS 18001 requirements against which an audit is performed in accordance to ISO 19011
the similarities and differences between Quality, Environment and Safety International Management Systems
the rational supporting the implementation of OH&S management systems and its integration into existing systems

how to collect and analysis evidence, exercising objectivity, and make and communicate decisions on the significance of observations made

identify, manage and reduce an organisation’s OH&S Hazards

understand and apply the certification process
